Police are appealing for information after a large amount of copper piping was stolen from a store.

Officers were called to Quorn Road, Sherwood, following reports thieves had made off with items from a copper supplier.

More than £1,500 worth of copper piping is understood to have been taken during the break-in.

The burglary took place at some point between 11pm on 6 July 2022 and 1am on 7 July 2022.

Two men wearing black hoodies and masks were seen pushing a wheelie bin with piping inside it up and down Quorn Road at this time.

Police Constable Jack Cook, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Burglaries such as this one can have a huge impact on people’s livelihoods.

“This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable, and anyone found guilty of acting in this way should expect to find themselves put before the courts.

“It’s important that anyone who saw this incident take place or has any other information about what happened comes forward immediately.

“Information can be left by calling the police on 101, quoting incident 33 of 7 July 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
